| i went down the rabbit hole yesterday with Maggie Smith. Peter Shaffer had written Lettice and Lovage and i knew he wrote Equus and Amadeus. But an early play of his was Five Finger Exercise and i found the movie (with Rosalind Russell and others) on Tubi, but it is leaving in a few days. I watched it last night--it's a melodrama. The critics didn't like that it moved from England to the California, but i didn't have a problem with it. Maybe because Richard Beymer is so cute. Jack Hawkins (a few broadway plays) is the father (and was married to Jessica Tandy for a few years (another rabbit hole). and Maximilian Schell also did some broadway. |
