Alan, there were six songs: "Our Town," "Grovers Corners," "The Impatient Years," "Love and Marriage," "Wasn't It a Wonderful Wedding?," and "Look to Your Heart." In addition, "The Impatient Years" and "Look to Your Heart" had reprises, so that makes eight musical numbers. However, four of the six songs were solos for Frank Sinatra as the Stage Manager. "Wasn't It a Wonderful Wedding?" was for wedding guests (and included a dance section), and "Grovers Corners" was for the Stage Manager, Editor Webb, and Doc Gibbs (providing info on the town). "The Impatient Years" reprise was a book song for Emily (Eva Marie Saint) and George (Paul Newman), and Saint's Emily also reprised "Look to Your Heart" shortly after the Stage Manager sang it to her. For a 90-minute show with commercials, I'd say it makes it a full television musical. However, the fact that the Stage Manager sings most of the score works against it feeling like a full-blown musical adaptation, and, of course, it's much shorter than the play, as well as shorter than any stage musical adaptation would likely be.
