You don't have to apologize. Death is a part of life. An inevitability. And we all deal with it in different ways. Today's terribly sad, unexpected news of Gavin's untimely passing will hit us all in different ways. Your train of thought seems perfectly natural to me.
I don't have many names to add to your list, but, sadly, I imagine the 1980s and early 1990s will be filled with the names of many theatre artists and professionals -- some well known, some not -- lost to AIDS, like David Carroll of Chess and Grand Hotel. Who, tragically, passed away in the midst of recording the Grand Hotel cast recording in 1991. |
