The specifics are fuzzy to me now, but there was a gathering of Bway stars supporting gay marriage, performing on an avenue in NYC, on a makeshift stage--It might have been connected to gay pride weekend (anyone remember this at all? Please fill in any details).
Knowing his passion for LGBT rights and his founding of Broadway Impact, Creel might have been the organizer. I specifically recall his electric energy at that event.
That same night, I believe, I saw him dancing his ass off at the Kylie Minogue concert. He was up in a box with Alan Cumming exuding such joy.
He was such a fixture on the Bway scene. I can't yet imagine Bway without him. |
