And I’m not taking sides here as I don’t know what went down or all of the parties involved, but if what JDKlain says here is true, namely that Morgan was summarily asked to leave by the president of the board with no board meeting - this board president had been in that position less than two weeks. (See social media post linked below proudly announcing “Our New Board President” dated October 3rd, 10 days ago now, and only 3 days prior to the zoom meeting that apparently sparked the incident leading to McIntyre’s departure.) Has anyone ever heard of a theater hiring a new President of the Board only for that board president to fire the artistic director of nearly 30 years less than a week later and without convening the rest of the Board? Without excusing anyone’s alleged behavior (if true), something seems fishy here. |
