| That's a strange take on Caissie Levy - I don't think I'd ever call that sound "unappealing". In fact, when the show came out, many people I talked to wished that Marin would have belted the song just like that, and have a less legit sound. Friends with the production said she tried but wasn't able to do it. (for the record, We all love Marin and her performance). I guess it's one of those differences in opinion, but "unappealing" and "grating" is more than a little harsh, especially for those of us who were thrilled to finally hear those notes sung like that. Too bad the video cut out just as the song was building. |
