Allegro ran for 315 perfs, was included in the 1947-1948 edition of the Burns Mantle Best Plays series, but did not recoup, most likely because it was too expensive.

According to Richard Rodgers, Pipe Dream would most likely have been a small hit if Helen Traubel had been willing to extend her contract. It was a flawed, but worthy show with a very fine score. It closed at a loss shortly after Traubel left.

I agree that Me and Juliet was probably R&H's weakest musical, but it did recoup its investment, while both Allegro and Pipe Dream lost money.
