I got audience-filler seats for the Glenda Jackson "King Lear "and TDF for Jane Fonda. Does Clooney have a track record of doing live theater? The movie he directed of this was quite good, though not a huge blockbuster if I recall. There's a history in years past of movie stars returning to Broadway without huge increases in the scale of ticket prices, but that's kind of gone out the window, but not always, as tickets which don't sell many times will get progressively less expensive as it gets closer to the actual performance date. I'd rather spend my funds seeing numerous shows and having different experiences over the perceived FOMO of seeing just one very expensive show. Still, I might see this if it became somewhat reasonable and got good reviews. | |
