... even though it had TWO Off-Broadway productions: in 1980-81 at the Public and in 1982 at the Cherry Lane, where it ran for 762 performances.
''True West'' was a 1983 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. ... But the Tonys still ruled ''True West'' eligible for Best Play in 2000. |
