Friday's tour production in Portland was evacuated after a spilled beer caused an electrical outlet to spark and smoke.
Saw Wednesday's performance, sans beer fire. Having seen the show on Broadway can enthusiastically recommend the tour if it comes to your town.
Carolee Carmello was poignant as Kim. Her vocals are not as "pretty" as Victoria Clark's and so in some ways she was more believable in the part. Darrin Hayes (Martin) stole scenes with aplomb. And didn't realize until after the show that Jim Hogan (Buddy) and Emily Koch (Debra) have been a couple IRL for more than seven years.
