| One of my caveats about this production is - where does it take place. The Kit KJat Klub us a a sleazy cabaret, actually more a tingel-tangel - a sex club - with the phones on the tables etc. All the dancers are available for sex after the show. The set is an immaculate round stage, with two lifts and a ring turntable, surrounded by lovely tabes. All very upscale - And then - the achilles heel of setting CABARET in a cabaret - where do the book scenes take place? Why are they in the cabaret? (and why isn't there a fur coat?) |
