I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure those were only during scheduled absences of 1 of the 3 stars.
Of course, even if they weren't just then, if you happen to not be in town or available in the few times those prices were out there, then it's meaningless. But I haven't monitored the prices for the entire run, I just know I've seen some of those "low" prices on Today Tix here or there and they have, in my memory, corresponded to something like that. I'm not saying the show isn't worth seeing with an understudy, but they not only put all 3 people above the title but they have sold the show very much on the cast specifically the 3 leads... most people who have seen any of that marketing or read any reviews will of course be hoping to buy a ticket to a date when they're all there (sickness/emergency absences notwithstanding). |
