Lansbury "Gypsy" at the box office

Since the subject of "Gypsy" seems to be in the ether today, I'm wondering how financially successful was the Lansbury run. I believe it arrived after an extended national tour and ran for four months, possibly billed as a "limited run." I recall tickets selling at TKTS. The summer following the NY engagement, Lansbury toured the tents and other venues with it. I saw a very lean version at Westchester Arena (or whatever it was called) where signs at the entrance doors warned theatergoers against brining hot dogs, on sale in the lobby, into the theater.
