I'd read Scherzinger got mid-show standing o's after ''With One Look'' and ''As If We Never Said Goodbye.'' I think Betty Buckley got 'em in "Sunset," too.
This is the first time I've read of one coming after the title song of ''Sunset Blvd,'' but is that regular? Or just a really excited first-preview audience?
Among other mid-show standing ovations I've seen: Bette Midler, after the title tune of ''Hello, Dolly!''; the newsboys, after ''Seize the Day'' in ''Newsies.'' |
