| I saw it twice on TDF, the second time with out of town guests who loved it, and ascertained that it was a popular group show, at least in the first few months. The novel was in book clubs across the nation, and it's adored. I think the musical is quite lovely, heartfelt, theatrically sharp, and performed by one of the hardest working companies on Broadway (and I'm not a fan of circus motifs). I had presumed a year was in the offing, but the box office has been soft. |
