I do not have a horse in this race, meaning I don't care who wins and who loses (I did like the show as I probably wrote at least briefly here), but there are a couple of points worth stating. One is that the lawsuit covers only one side of the story. Second is that, it is quite difficult to prove liability in cases like this, particularly with respect to the lives of public people. The diciest part would be any truly private observations.
I have not read the book, so I am not in a position to say anything about the significance of what is contained in it. I don't think it is weird to deny a connection to actual people; it's good lawyering. Imitation is flattery, but false truths are much worse. That said, one can't help but wonder what this might be saying about Adjmi. |
